Introduction / Course Overview:

The QPR Gatekeeper Training Program is a 5-day training conducted over one month, designed to equip participants with essential skills to identify warning signs, understand risk factors, and engage in empathetic conversations related to mental health. The program also trains participants to assess suicide risk effectively and respond appropriately to individuals in distress.

Training Components

  • Live Workshops — 5 interactive sessions (2.5 hours each)
  • Pre-recorded Modules — 14 hours of self-paced learning
  • Role-Play Simulations — Chat, audio, and video practice (triad format)
  • Reflective Exercises
  • Mentoring & Discussion Sessions
  • The_Hope_Chat Supervised Internship — 288 hours
